With an active career in both opera and music theatre, baritone Ezekiel Andrew has been seen in productions ranging from Turandot, Carmen,
The Magic Flute, and Le Nozze di Figaro to musicals such as West Side Story, The Little Mermaid, Oklahoma!, Little Women, The King & I, The Secret Garden, and more. Ezekiel is garnering attention for his portrayal of the character Coalhouse Walker, Jr. in the timeless classic Ragtime for which he has multiple productions to his credit. This season, Ezekiel sings the Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast with White Plains Performing Arts Center, and Coalhouse Walker, Jr. in Ragtime with the Eagle Performing Arts Center and Theatre under the Stars.
As a powerful and experienced "cross-over" artist, Ezekiel has performed theatre repertoire favorites on opera stages throughout the country including Phantom in Phantom of the Opera with the Southern Mississippi Opera and Musical Theatre Company; Quasimodo in Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame with the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre; and Bernardo in West Side Story with the Southern Mississippi Opera and Musical Theatre Company.
As an educator, Mr. Andrews conducts a variety of vocal workshops, recitals, and masterclasses on a regular basis, demonstrating an investment in emerging talents in the performing arts.
Ezekiel's education comes from Mississippi College and the Cincinnati Conservatory for his undergrad and holds a masters in vocal performance from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also received first place at the Beethoven Club of Memphis Young Artist Competition and third in the Voices of Mississippi Competition.
Ezekiel is a proud native of Mississippi and currently resides in New York.
